Cyclists return for the Oregon Gran Fondo at Bohemia Park

Cyclists rejoice as the 2023 Oregon Gran Fondo returns to Cottage Grove and is anticipated to draw 300 riders from around the world. For the 130-mile Adventure Route, riders will leave Bohemia Park in a mass starting at 7 a.m., and for the other routes, it will be 8:30 a.m.

Lions boys finish 8th, girls take 7th at XC state championships

The Lions boys made history by having two individual runners place in the top 10, while also finishing in the top 10 in the first back-to-back seasons at state since 1968-69 with their eighth-place finish. Their female teammates also came into the weekend ranked outside the top 10 but put together a strong finish to finish seventh overall —which is the second-best finish in school history.

Sutherlin outlasts Bulldog girls

Prior to their meeting with Sutherlin, the Creswell girls basketball team was riding a small win streak of three in a row and scoring over 50 points per game in each win. The Bulldogs traded punches with Sutherlin in the first half of their contest, but the visitors proved why they are a top contender for a state championship as they ultimately defeated Creswell 58-41.
