The Oregon Department of Transportation announced last week that, after Labor Day, the I-5 Martin Creek to Anlauf Paving project will enter a new construction phase as workers repair or replace damaged concrete in the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 between Drain and Cottage Grove.
This means that, between September and November, construction will require I-5 lane and ramp closures. The biggest upcoming traffic impacts include:
I-5 south of Cottage Grove will be limited to one lane in each direction for 10 weeks;
The Exit 170 (south Cottage Grove) northbound off-ramp will be closed 10 weeks;
The northbound ramps at Exit 162 (Drain/Oregon 38 junction) will be closed 22 consecutive days.For the complete article see the 08-27-2014 issue.
