Grace E. Krantz (Molitor) 1920-2014

Grace E. Krantz (Molitor), 93, of Cottage Grove passed away Jan. 26, 2014 from complication of a broken hip.

She was born March 25, 1920, in Missoula, Mont. to William Dewey Wrigley and Clara B. (Shepard) Roberts.

Grace received a Bachelorís Degree in music.  She was a loving mother, music teacher, pianist, organist, seamstress and flower gardener.

Grace married George Forrest on June 25, 1942 and he passed in Missoula, Mont. in March of 1944.  She then married Norbert J. Krantz on Sept. 23, 1944 in Walla Walla, Wash. and they shared 37 years of marriage before he died in October of 1981.  She later married George E. Molitor on Dec. 1, 1984 and they were married for 24 years before he passed on April 13, 2008.

Grace was an organist for OLPH Catholic Church and a lifelong member of the OLPH Alter Society.  She was also a member of the University of Montana Alumni (1942) and the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.

She is survived by her daughter, Ann Carstens, of Cottage Grove; son Norbert John Krantz Jr. (Sandy) of Faison, N.C.; son Mark Krantz (Sandra) of Corvallis; daughter Kathleen Krantz of Eugene; son James Krantz (Lisa) of Minneapolis, Minn.; daughter Helen Desinger (Mark) of Anchorage, Alaska; son Robert Krantz (Silvia) of Culver; daughter Mary Graham (Stephen) of Cottage Grove; daughter Suzanne Westfall (Greg) of Sandy; son Paul Krantz of St. Cloud, Minn.; son George Michael Krantz (Olga) of Little Elm, Texas; daughter Karen Krantz of Seattle, Wash.; son William Krantz (Michelle) of Copper City, Fla.; half-sister Deborah Wrigley of Houston, Texas; 47 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren.

Grace was preceded in death by her husbands, George Forrest, Norbert J. Krantz and George E. Molitor, half-brother, Dewey Daniel Wrigley and half-sister, Marilyn Wrigley.

Recitation of the Rosary and Visitation was held at Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel on Jan. 31, 2014 from 4-6 p.m. A funeral service was held at OLPH Catholic Church on Feb. 1, 2014 at 1 p.m. followed by a luncheon at OLPH Parish Hall.  Interment was at Fir Grove Cemetery, Cottage Grove.
