Louise Poppa, 88, of Cottage Grove died April 30, 2013 from age related causes. Her death was surrounded by family with the sun on her face and fresh flowers in her hair.
She was born April 25, 1925 in Seaside, Ore. to Doyle and Annette (Killion) Thomas.
She graduated from Seaside High School.
Louise worked in the school district in Medford and was a homemaker.
A loving, sweet woman, Louise enjoyed reading and loved her wiener dogs. For the last four years of her life, she lived in her daughterís home surrounded with love.
Survivors include three of her four children, Sharon Turcotte of Medford, Gerald Turcotte of Cottage Grove and Kathy Boykin of Cottage Grove, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four husbands, Francis Turcotte, John Calacci, Paul Martin and Milton Poppa, Sr., and by a son, Steven Turcotte.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Motherís Day, May 12, from 2-5 p.m. at Jim, Kathy and Cora Boykinís home, 1380 W. Harrison. Private burial will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Medford.
