Janice Lynn Patten 1965-2013

 

Janice Lynn Patten, 47, of Cottage Grove died Jan. 24, 2013 after a long illness.

She was born Aug. 27, 1965 in Cottage Grove to Lawrence and Wilma (Crane) Ashbridge.

She graduated from Cottage Grove High School in 1983.

On Dec. 22, 1984 in Cottage Grove, she and Daniel Patten were married.

Janice was a homemaker. She was very creative and made beautiful jewelry. She loved cooking, being outdoors, and spending time with her family and her beloved granddog, Herculeez. She always put others before herself, had a very positive outlook, and had a great sense of humor.

Survivors include her husband, her parents, a daughter, Ashley Patten of Cottage Grove a son, Justin Patten of Cottage Grove, three brothers, Doug Ashbridge of Palm Springs, Calif., Rick Ashbridge and wife, Janeen, of Cottage Grove, and Scott Ashbridge and wife, Dorie, of Virginia Beach, Va., and two sisters, Susan Wight and husband, Randy, of Bend, and Nancy Olson of Reno, Nev.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Feb. 1 at Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel.
