For the third time since 1995, the University of Oregon football program decided to promote their offensive coordinator to fill a vacancy at head coach. In 1995, Rich Brooks was succeeded by Mike Bellotti, who led the program to new heights. In 2008 Bellotti bowed out on top after beating Oklahoma State in the Holiday Bowl and Chip Kelly took over. Kelly took the program to even a higher level by winning two of four straight BCS games.
