Samuel L. “Sam” McCullough, 81, of Cottage Grove died Jan. 8, 2013 from age related causes.
He was born Nov. 30, 1931 in Somerville, Ind. to John F. and Florence (Wenning) McCullough.
Sam graduated from Mackey High School.
On March 27, 1954 in Enterprise, Ore., he and Joyce Mill were married.
Mr. McCullough worked in auto parts sales, was a fireman for the Cottage Grove Fire Department and was a distributor of two-way radios for 20 years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and two-way radios. Sam loved spending time with his family.
He had formerly lived in Yoncalla.
Survivors include his wife, three daughters, Peggy Grown of Cottage Grove, Carol Lewis of Eugene and Sandra Frese and husband, Dan, of Cottage Grove, a brother, Don McCullough of Eugene, a sister, Linda Smith of Eugene, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Dale Brown in 2007, and a brother, Bill McCullough.
A memorial will be held Saturday, Jan. 26, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cottage Grove.
