Three weeks ago, the CGHS Hall of Fame Committee narrowed their choices of athletes to be inducted to 15. All were worthy, but the following five athletes were selected: Doyle Higdon (1952), an outstanding three-sport Lion who also competed in track and the University of Oregon;Vic Fox (1954), another three-sport athlete who went on to become a Little All-American in football at Linfield; Mark Richards (1961), a standout in football and track, who achieved the highest accolades in college football of any CGHS Lion in the history of the school; Grant Boustead (1972), a three-sport star, who also started at Oregon State in football for three years, and Wendy Hocker (1992), an outstanding swimmer who still holds four individual Lion records, as well as being a part of five relay team records.
