Virginia P. Noffsinger, 83, of Cottage Grove died Jan. 7, 2013 from age related causes.
She was born March 10, 1929 in Grand Rapids, Mich. to William and Echo (Arrington) Ryder.
Virginia received her GED by attending night school in Crescent City, Calif.
On July 7, 1946 in Vancouver, Wash., she and Lloyd E. Noffsinger were married.
Mrs. Noffsinger was a homemaker. She loved flowers and was an avid gardener who grew a unique variety of plants and flowers. She also enjoyed garage sales and woodworking.
Survivors include three children, John Noffsinger and wife, Markeeta, of Lebanon, Ore., Patricia Weishaar and husband, Terry, of Smith River, Calif., and Chris Noffsinger and wife, Karen, of Cottage Grove, two brothers, Arnold Ryder of Myrtle Creek and Steve Ryder of Hines, a sister, Kitty Castello of Eagle Point, seven grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1999 and by a son, William Noffsinger, in 2011.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Jan. 26, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Cottage Grove Community Center located at 700 E. Gibbs Ave.
