Argument leads to stabbing

A 41-year old woman with a history of violence against her partner found herself in the Lane County Jail on Thursday, Jan. 3 after an early-morning stabbing incident.

A press release indicated that the Lane County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call for help from a transient camp off Highway 99 north of Cottage Grove at about 8:14 a.m. Thursday. A stabbing victim, 49-year old William Alvin Foster, was taken to the hospital to receive medical attention for his wounds. Taken into custody was Colleen Aanell Barry, who was charged with Assault I following the incident.
