Elizabeth Ann Thomas 1919-2013

 

Elizabeth Ann Thomas, 93, of Cottage Grove died Jan. 1, 2013 from age related causes.

She was born May 10, 1919 in Brooklyn, N.Y. to Blake and Helen (Rowell) Snyder.

In 1957 at the University of Arizona, Elizabeth received a Bachelor’s Degree. Mrs. Thomas worked as a fourth and fifth grade teacher in Arizona.

She married Robert C. Thomas. He passed away in November of 1963.

Elizabeth loved people and enjoyed going for walks. Her church was very important to her.

She formerly had lived in Alaska.

Survivors include six children, Jay Thomas and wife, Patty, of Curtin, Ore., Joan Jones and husband, David, of Tucson, Arizona, Pete Thomas and wife, Ruth, of Columbus, N.C., Robin Thomas and wife, Peg, of Springfield, Ore., Alice Blakeley of Honduras and Nancy Barton of Tucson, Arizona, 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

No service is planned.
