Thomas “Big Tom” David Edwards, 77, of Anlauf, Oregon died Nov. 25, 2012 from age related causes.
He was born May 26, 1935 in Enumclaw, Wash. to Tom and Violet (Palmer) Edwards.
He graduated from Cottage Grove High School.
On June 25, 1954 in Anlauf, he and Darlene Perini were married.
“Big Tom” was a lifelong woodsman and logger.
He formerly had lived in Great Falls, Mont. and Carnegie, Okla.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, logging, singing, music, raising animals, barbequing, taking road trips, gambling and family gatherings.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene, a son, Tom Edwards Jr. and wife, Sharon, of Curtin, a daughter, Bonnie Sannes and husband, Ted Degerstrom, of Cottage Grove, a sister, Evelyn Hartman of Bonanza, Ore., six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Hugh Sannes, in 1988.
A celebration of life and potluck were held Dec. 1, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Delight Valley Church of Christ in Saginaw.
