Gregory Leonel Morales, 18, of Cottage Grove died Jan. 14, 2010.

He was born Nov. 14, 1991 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Alonzo and Heidi (Chase) Morales.

He worked with the Kennedy Conservation Corp.

Gregory loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping and crabbing. He enjoyed driving his Jeep in the snow.

He is survived by his parents, grandparents, Berta Moralez and Rick and Becky Chase, great-grandfather, Lloyd Myers, great-great-grandmother, Edith Chase, sisters, Kyrie and Haylie Morales of Cottage Grove, aunts and uncles, Liz and George Ibarra, Steve and Petra Mullins, Joe and Michelle Morales, all of Texas, and Ryan and Kristina Fournier of Cottage Grove and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Leonel Moralez and great-grandmother, Janice Myers.

A celebration of life was held Jan. 20 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cottage Grove.
