Victor Storaasli, 53, of Cottage Grove died Jan. 18, 2010 of cancer.

He was born March 5, 1956 in Kalispell, Mont. to Dale and Lora Lee (Hoiland) Storaasli.

He graduated from high school in Montana. Prior to Cottage Grove, he had lived in Santa Cruz, Calif., Kalispell, Mont. and Seattle, Wash.

Victor enjoyed woodworking, music, guitar, piano, drawing, taking long walks and photography.

He is survived by his mother, Lora Lee and stepfather, Phil Jensen, two brothers, Mark Storaasli and wife, Mary, of Spokane, Wash., and Harry Storaasli of Cottage Grove, a sister, Jeri Carson and husband, Peter, of Springfield, two nieces, Hannah Storaasli of Spokane, Wash. and Amanda Storaasli of Austin, Texas and a great-niece, Helen Truitt of Spokane, Wash.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Storaasli.

A celebration of life will be held Jan. 30 at 1 p.m. at the Cottage Grove Community Center, 700 E. Gibbs.
