Stanley S. Ottinger Jr. passed in his sleep at home on March 23, 2013. Stanley was better known as JR to family and friends alike.
After nearly five years battling soft tissue sarcoma, the loving Lord has received JR with open loving arms. JR had a strong faith of the Lord. He was baptized at the Church of Christ in Cottage Grove. JR said many times that's where he got his strength to fight the cancer so long.
JR was a very big Oregon Duck fan and fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Where he really felt close to God was fishing on the river bank or on a lake in the great outdoors. JR loved working with young kids teaching baseball or fishing whatever they wanted. JR worked in construction most of his life and was a man of many trades. He could fix many different things.
Born March 13, 1975 in Redlands, California, he also lived in Colorado and Oregon, graduating from Thurston High School in 1993.
