Phyllis L. Kautz 1922 - 2013

Phyllis Kautz, 90, of Cottage Grove passed away Feb. 20, 2013, of cancer.

She was born May 20, 1922, in Fessenden, N.D. to Edward and Ida (Maixner) Scheer.

Phyllis married Harold W. Kautz on Sept. 8, 1946 in Fessenden, ND and they made their home of 62 years in Sacramento, Calif.

Phyllis was a Sales Clerk for JC Penney's for 13 years and was a homemaker.

She was a volunteer for St. John's Lutheran Church and St. Luke's Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband of Cottage Grove, a daughter, Linda Stahl and husband, Michael, of Cottage Grove, and a brother, Edward Scheer of Aberdeen, S.D.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Elaine Monighan.

A memorial service was held on March 2, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Cottage Grove. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
