John Lawrence Indermuehle 1940-2012

John Lawrence Indermuehle, 72, of Cottage Grove died Dec. 21, 2012 from cancer.

He was born May 25, 1940 in Hartford, Wis. to John and Eleanor (Zehren) Indermuehle.

John received his Bachelor’s degree from Andrew’s University in Berrien Springs, Mich. He served in the U.S. Army for three years.

On Oct. 13, 1962 in Green Bay, Wis., he and Muriel Wigren were married.

He worked as a Systems Engineer Manager, an instructor for executives to show them how to effectively use IBM products for their businesses. He was also involved in product simplification and the medical division of IBM for 32 years.

John was a Master Gardener and enjoyed painting, golfing, fishing traveling and reading. He was a member of the Cottage Grove Rotary and the Cottage Grove Community Foundation.

He formerly had lived in Marietta, Ga., Rochester, Minn., Boca Raton, Fla., Cincinnati, Ohio, Green Bay, Wis. and Berrien Springs, Mich.

Survivors include his wife, two sons and their wives, Chris and Heidi Indermuehle of College Place, Wash. and Eric and Amy Indermuehle of Ft. Collins, Colo., a brother, Ray Indermuehle of West Bend, Wis., two sisters, Mary Ann Rose of Jackson, Wis. and Phyllis Bestor of Orem, Utah, and one grandson.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Jan. 26, 2013 at Springfield Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Community Sharing of Cottage Grove, 1440 Birch Ave., Cottage Grove, OR  97424.

Arrangements under the care of Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel and Crematorium, Cottage Grove.
