Businesses, service groups and interested individuals attended the first annaul Community Fair, organized by the Cottage Grove Vision Keepers Committee. Held at Cottage Grove High School's cafetorium, the event offered a chance for groups to network with each other and share their respective missions. Technical difficulties derailed the program temporarily but also offered each group present (about 30 attended) the chance to briefly address the crowd regarding their organization's goals and community interaction. The Cottage Grove High School Culinary Team provided refreshments for the event. After the group presentations, a short slide show, prepared by Faith Wellman, highlighted group efforts throughout the past year. The Vision Keepers will host this event annually as a way to update the public on the ongoing visioning process. At right, Economic and Business Improvement District officers Karen Winters and George Devine preside over the EBID booth.
