Ron Petitti , 62, of Creswell died April 13, 2008 from cancer.
He was born Oct. 31, 1945 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Jack and Vonda Petitti.
He married his grade school sweetheart Carrie Anderson on Dec. 24, 1974 in Eugene.
Ron worked as a mortgage broker at Mortgage Resource Group in Eugene, was CEO of Emerald Valley Resort and Golf Course from 1988-1993 , was a licensed general contractor for Petitti Development and owned and operated a bungee jumping company on the Las Vegas Strip. Currently he was the mayor of Creswell, serving his third consecutive term.
Ron enjoyed white water rafting , snow skiing, gardening and spending time with family. He was a member of Creswell Kiwanis , BNI business leads group, and past president of Mid-Oregon Executive Association. He is survived by his wife, Carrie, a son, Brandon Petitti of Eugene, three daughters, Elyse Morey of Orting, Wash, Becci Stanton of Clackamas, and Bridgette Jain of Portland, a brother, Gary Petitti of Las Vegas , two sisters, Colleen Kullberg of Las Vegas and JoAnne Petitti of Eugene, 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren .
He was preceded in death by a son, Brett Petitti on April 27, 2006.
A celebration of life reception was held April 21 at Brindiamo Catering and Events Center in Creswell. A private graveside service was held at Creswell Pioneer Cemetery.
