Blue Mountain works
Published: July 25th, 2007
I am 21 years old and a 2002 class graduate of Blue Mountain School. I support myself as a small business owner making felted wearables for my business PenFelt. I sell my work at craft galleries around the country and I've been featured in The Oregonian , UltraPDX and The New York Times. I also teach felting workshops to adults and kids through Portland Community College.
I attribute my success to my education from BMS. Blue Mountain taught me how to be personally responsible, set and achieve goals, and find happiness in the world. I loved going to school every day because I was constantly challenged in that style of learning environment.
My education from Blue Mountain instilled in me a lifelong love of learning. It's ultimate affect on my life has been completely positive.
